I like it better, and it will look so much nicer with this:

Wow, the frame painted black really shows the print off so much more...great choice! And it will look great with your beautiful shelf! Susan
What a difference the black frame makes! And I love that shelf and the way you decorated it. Linda
Very pretty update. I probably need to do that to some of the bright gold frames in my house.
There's nothing like a coat of black paint to update a frame. Have fun with your new kitchen!
Nice change. Black accents are great. Looking forward to seeing more.
Happy moving, Candy
I love the way art looks in a dark frame, it just makes the picture come alive. Good luck on your move, how exciting!

Hi Tracey! I'm so thrilled for you with your move. I love that picture and just adore the red willow transferware. Can't wait to see it after you're settled.
Be a sweetie,

Wow, darkening the frame really gave the picture a "pop!" I love that hanging shelf and the transferwear on it is divine!!! :D Jewel
I've recently fallen in love with dark furnishings, too! My Asian heritage is coming alive more in me and I've slowly changed out my furniture into the darker shades and more Asian looks.
Great job!

Love the vintage picture and the frame and it does go well so nicely with your vignette...Christine
Love the "no oak zone" idea! I am not a fan of oak either, I prefer darker woods or painted surfaces. Love the little shelf!

Yep, the black frame looks great! Isn't it amazing what paint can do? I love the shelf and is that a pink piece of depression glass? Love it! I want to follow your blog and see your new home! We are about to get a new kitchen and I love blogging so I can get ideas from those that have gone before me!
