Yesterday after work my house was starting to get a roof! I forgot my camera so I went back this morning before work and took a couple photos:
They boarded up the ground floor window and doorways, I guess to keep out trespassers (or the crazy lady in the blue car who drives by a couple times a day with a camera).
Today was window day! At least for the top 2 floors.
Here is the back with the 3 sunroom windows. Some of the units got their rear slider installed too, mine is not there yet. I'm still missing a wall!
This is a fun process so far! I just love watching everything come together. My construction manager said it is time for another meeting this week, so maybe I'll get to go inside of it and see how things look in there.
I'm figuring that at the rate we are going, they will finish the walls, windows and doors, shingle the roof and start insulating this week. Who knows, they may be starting the siding in another 10 days.

You have a wonderful blog. I'm so happy to have found it. How very exciting to be watching your home be built from the ground up. I will journey with you into your comfy home...there's no place like home!

Tracy,
I'm having so much fun following your home building journey. I remember when I build my first home in the 90's and I would also check daily on progress and was so amazed how fast it went up. We bought our current home from a previous owner but it still evolves as we live in it. I'm excited for the day you get to move in and can start the process of making it a home and putting all your 'touches' on.
I also would like to thank you for your very kind comment on my blog this week. You will never know how much that meant to me. I'm a frontline Manager and not only do I worry about myself but also about my team and their spouses and children which I have watched over the years grow.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Tam
Tracy, I cannot believe how much progress these guys are making on your house so quickly. It is really coming along.
I am really looking forward to seeing the interior.
Have a great day.
Nicole~
