A Pretty Week in Los Angeles

I haven't posted in a while because my daughter Amanda and I have been visiting my oldest daughter and her husband in LA, where they relocated temporarily for my son-in-law's job.  We had a great week taking in the sights, like fresh produce markets:

And beautiful coastline:

Seeing the beautiful Getty Center and Getty Villa:

Walking through pretty neighborhoods and checking out the buildings downtown:

Visiting wonderful shops:

We ate some really pretty food:

And did the tourist thing, of course:

It was great to see the kids and have a nice warm mid-winter getaway but it's also nice to come home to my own Comfy Place with fresh inspiration for new projects.  (I want to paint my whole house the color of the walls in the Magnolia Bakery.)  Have a great week everyone!

Lucky you, to be able to spend time with your family AND escape the cold for a while.

I think the colour of the bakery would look fabulous in your home.

I love your blog! I just added myself as a follower and look forward to looking around:)

My oldest son just moved to Echo Park in L.A., we're in So. OC so we drove up there on Friday...it sure is a different world than the area we're in! Your photo's are so clear and vibrant! I wish I could take photo's like that!!!

Tracy, that deep beautiful blue sky you captured so perfectly in your photos is a California winter sky. Gorgeous, isn't it?
