Before and during...

Here is the "before" and "during" of my dining room area. I piled my stuff in, but I have not painted or hung pictures. I'm not painting the main floor til last because it's going to be a lot of work, so do I hang my stuff up now, or wait?

I am planning to work on a little furniture project this weekend. Not sure it will be done for Met Monday, but I'll try. Have a great weekend!

Tracy, everything looks so pretty, and it is put together so nicely. It would probably be best to wait to hang everything up after you paint so that you do not have double the work.

I cannot wait to see more!! Congratulations again, I am so happy for you.

Tracy, how quickly you've made your house into a home. You must be having so much fun over there, I can just imagine! So happy for you!

I love what you have in your dining room already!! Great style.

If it were me, I would move right in and get settled and let paint ideas & colors come on slowly. You've waited a long time for this~so get comfy!! After awhile you will see how the rooms take on the light and what shades you may not have considered before and you won't feel that you have rushed!

Have a great weekend! :-)

It all looks so pretty. I'd feel very comfortable sitting there enjoying a meal or tea :0).
I think it might be a good idea to wait to hang artwork, but I know if you're anything like me, you want to make your place "come alive" and have character and just can't wait. How about if you put a few things up and use the 3M hanging strips? That's what I used in my kitchen and it holds my "EAT" letters as well as all the "artwork" I've made. There are no nail holes in the walls because I want to be sure I'm happy with "locations" before I commit to a nail hole :0)
