This took me forever, only because I'd stop and not get motivated to start again, but now it's finally done. Unfortunately, this room never gets decent natural light. I tried for days to get a good picture but it's pretty gloomy:

And the flash photos are pretty scary:

My daughters think I need lighter curtains - ? I guess maybe for spring and summer, something else would be nice.

My cat was determined to have her picture taken, I think:

Anyway, that is finally done so now on to the next thing on the list.... cleaning up THIS, my leopard spotted deck:

Apparently, TREX plus little sunlight and tons of rain equals MOLD. Gross. Now I just need it to stop raining and dry out so I can treat it!

I love how your living room looks...so cozy. And yes, I think lighter curtains, maybe sheers would let in a lot more sunshine. What color paint did you use?
I thought Trex was supposed to be worry free? This is too bad. Hope it cleans up easily.

How wonderful to have a room all finished and done. It feels so good doesn't it. Your room is lovely. Hugs, Marty
Hi Tracy! What a beautiful space you've created for yourself! I think it all looks warm and cozy!

Stumbled onto your site through "next blog" (yes, it is late, but I am not ready to go to sleep, but too tired to work). Throughly enjoyed touring your house and seeing what you have done. You seem to know a lot about accessorizing, and yes it all looks comfy.
Love the color! It's looking mighty cozy... :-)
Warm blessings,
Spencer

Wow..you should be on some type of design show on television. You are very creative!
Wow, your house looks amazing. I am about to move from 1k square feet to 3k, it will be alot to fill but you've given me some good ideas. I hope you have a wonderful day and hopefully, hopefully, you check out my blog and like it. Although I need to figure out how to add pictures and make it look more like a published horror authors site.
Hi, just found your blog! I too am a single mom, of 2 girls. I too just bought my house in 2009.
I need to do some painting, but first I have to do major stripping... so not looking forward to that!
Your house is looking great!
beautiful house! all so nice:)

follow my blog:)
I like it! Definitely old style; not like the modern-day red walls dark floors, shiny appliances scheme people seem to follow all the time these days. Reminds me of old times!
